Protein is one of the most important essential nutrients that our body requires for optimal performance and wellbeing.

For those of you who are like me, and only eat plant based foods, protein smoothies are an excellent way to obtain your daily required protein.

Here is the recipe for my breakfast smoothie: IMG_2669

  • 1 cup frozen orgainic raspberries
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 small handful of organic spinach
  • 1 organic banana
  • 3 tbsp organic hemp seeds (11g protein)
  • 1 scoop vanilla Sunwarrior protein (21g protein)

I blend all the ingredients together in my blender for 30-60 seconds. Once I am happy with the texture, I pop off the lid and it’s ready to enjoy.

This combination of ingredients creates a fantastic flavour.Occasionally I will add 1 tbsp of organic cacao powder for a chocolate twist, which also tastes wonderful.
