Understanding the importance of creating calmness within me was one of the greatest lessons I learned from my cancer experience. I was going through so much, and I desperately needed to find a way to bring stillness into my life moving forward. I began to meditate every day. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was working, but I stuck with it. Gradually things started to change and I noticed a significant shift in my energy. I began to incorporate positive affirmations and healing mantras into my meditations, which amplified my mindfulness. It was an invaluable tool to use while waiting for a high pressure oncology appointment, having an energy healing session or just trying to fall asleep at night. Meditation worked incredibly well for me and really helped me overcome the disease. I continue to meditate today and feel it has been a major contributing factor to my overall wellbeing.
